The Urdu daan podcast is full of Urdu poetry pieces- ghazals, nazms, which I have selected to be broadcast to the world. It’s been 3 years, Since the first week of April 2020, when I shared my first audio on social media. I honestly didn’t expect much, but the response has been nothing short of overwhelming. The Urdu daan podcast has more than 10000 active listeners across various platforms. Urdu Daan crossed 100k followers on instagram this year. With your love and acceptance, it continues to grow each day.
Meet Our Host
Aamir Azher
When you’re so many things, it’s hard to know who you really are, someone once said. I think that statement, also underlines one of the key things I have discovered about myself – I am a wanderer. This wondering has made me a poet, a voice artist and a storyteller. For the longest time, my association with poetry was a very clandestine affair. It is only recently (3 years ago) that I took to social media about it, and God has been kind to have helped me carve a space for myself, and reach those who appreciate my work.
As regards to my professional life, I am a voice-over artist, who has worked with great organisations like Mirchi, Rekhta, and others. I am also pursuing a PhD in history.
